I don’t believe in growth at all costs.
Most of your business already works, but nobody is paid to tell you that. Advice starts with what’s broken, and a growth plan starts with what’s missing. What’s already good often doesn’t show up anywhere.
I don’t believe in growth at all costs. I believe growth can be organic, for the business and for the people working in it. So I start with what’s there: what your customers already come back for, and what your people already do well. What came before is the best guide to what’s next.
Then I look at how much the business has taken on. Most companies I meet have plenty of ambition. They also have more products, projects and priorities than they’ve had time to absorb. Adding to that doesn’t help. It shows in the numbers as much as in the day-to-day.
And I ask what can stop. A business that can’t end anything is only accumulating. Room for the next thing comes from letting go of an old one.
I’ve spent almost two decades building this way. It’s how something lasts.
